Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into cubes 200 grams
  • Garlic finely chopped 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh fenugreek leaves (methi) leaves separated from stems 1 small bunches
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala powder 3/4 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • Black peppercorns crushed 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Gram flour 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  • Saffron soaked in 2 tablespoons milk a pinch
  • Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds 1 1/2 teaspoons
  • Onion paste 1 cup

Method

  1. Step 1. Put the dahi yogurt in a bowl , add ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, crushed black peppercorns, salt, gram flour, lemon juice, fresh cream and saffron milk and mix well.
  2. Step 2. Add paneer cubes to this mixture, mix well and set aside.
  3. Step 3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, chopped garlic and onion paste, mix and sauté till onion turns a light brown.
  4. Step 4. Add fenugreek leaves and mix well. Add salt and mix well.
  5. Step 5. Add the yogurt and paneer mixture and mix well. Add some water and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  6. Step 6. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve warm.
